Who?
I’m Alex Chesters - an enthusiastic event professional that loves creating memorable experiences for others.
In my career I have skill stacked broadly, if there is a role onsite, I have likely done it! Above all I am most passionate about the operational delivery of events and building rigorous health and safety and operational policy. Combining extensive practical skills with academic theory, from ongoing professional qualifications, has given me a complete and rounded experience.
Between 2020 and 2024 I ran my own businesses - The Outdoor Picture Palace and Palace Events. Primarily organising outdoor cinema events in the Lake District, this grew to provide turn key cinema packages, AV hire and bar and food concession management for 3rd parties. Being a solo founder launching and self financing a business in the midst of the Covid pandemic is something I am incredibly proud of, giving me invaluable skills in finance, leadership, marketing and much more! However above all, it has stretched my threshold to work under pressure without compromising quality or safety.
When not in an event field, I can be found in running in the Lake District, bike packing or ski instructing in the Austrian Alps!
