Event Roundup

My first time working for MOTIV Sports and Liam Worthy Events, I was excited to be part of the course team of such an iconic mass participation event - The Saucony London 10k! Managing zone D - Westminster Bridge, Parliament Square and Victoria Street I worked alongside the sector manager, we ensured all operations on race day went smoothly.

Arriving early onsite at 05:00, we installed course signage, created internal emergency vehicle routes, crossing points and pens and liaised and sited contractors (security, toilets, traffic management, St John’s Ambulance and brand activations from Wasserman). Once our team arrived at 08:00, we organised final snagging jobs to ensure our sector was race ready for 09:30.

Once the race was live, as managers we floated the site, ensuring spectators flowed well in BOH routes and crossing routes and adapting with security when required. Taping lines were minorly adjusted with the event Health and Safety Officer to ensure optimal race flow along the route.

Once all participants and event convoy vehicles had passed through our sector, we began a prompt breakdown to ensure road opening times could be adhered to. Removing all taping and signage so there was no remaining trace of the event in the area.
